Position Summary
Makes quality drycast concrete products in a safe and timely manner by operating different sizes of vibrating tables, forms, and various other pieces of equipment based on pre-determined schedule.
Principle Accountabilities
Adheres to schedule and maintains regular attendance at work-site. Works overtime as assigned.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping (i.e.: cleaning, organizing). Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions and notifies supervisor.
Advises supervisor of any issues after daily inspections of the forms and equipment are completed.
Performs a variety of production duties including but not limited to: operating a crane to maneuver product, materials, and forms from vibrator table to pallets; cleaning hoppers and belts and oiling forms; operating a vibrator table to produce drycast products.
Reads production drawings and recognizes whether the product is set up properly; sets up the form as indicated in the production drawing with correct bill of materials; makes indicated modifications to the set-up as necessary.
Fills hopper to required level; pours drycast concrete into a form, placing reinforcing steel as needed; adds lifting hardware; finishes concrete based on quality control standards and/or specifications/drawings; strips product off of form once completed; stacks correctly and properly applies curing treatments.
Qualifications
Position Requirements
Ability to operate cranes, forklifts and other lifting equipment, when certified, in support of manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret production drawings.
Proficient in utilizing tape measures and basic hand tools including, but not limited to trowels, hammers, wrenches, chisels, power tools, etc.
