Position Summary
Located in Sparks, NV, the Water Resources Technician is responsible for the warehouse functions, including, but not limited to, shipping, receiving, and inventory. This position works directly with customers to perform on-site visits to ensure proper installation of supplied products and assists in the correction of any issues found during inspection.
Principle Accountabilities
Receives, offloads, and inspects inbound shipments. Assembles and packages items for outbound shipping.
Performs inspection of pump stations, troubleshooting electrical controls and mechanical pumping systems.
Coordination with customer to schedule on-site visits to verify proper installation and operation of the system whilst performing in-field client training. Assists customers with warranty or service calls and coordinates with the Customer Service Manager to resolve customer concerns.
Demonstrates willingness to take directions and follow instructions. Communicates effectively with internal and external contacts. Advises supervisor of any concerns or issues.
Adheres to schedule and maintains regular attendance at worksite. Works overtime as assigned.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping (i.e.: cleaning, organizing). Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions and notifies supervisor.
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of electrical systems with a background in on-site construction or fieldwork.
Required: Familiarity with electrical control systems
Required: Familiarity with Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
Required: General understanding of Warehouse procedures
Required: General knowledge of the Construction industry and a construction worksite.
Preferred: Familiarity with mechanical pumping systems
Preferred: Use and knowledge of various PLC products
