The MRP Buyer, based at our Sparks branch, is a key position in the success of our inventory team and overall operations. You’ll work with a dynamic and fast-paced team, responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the needs of Jensen for materials, services, freight, and other items.

Reporting to the Materials Manager, you’ll primarily work with the inventory team, sales team, dispatch, and operations team.

A highlight of your day-to-day will include:

  • Utilize ERP/MRP tools to identify and execute replenishment orders for purchased raw materials. Manage both incoming and outgoing (if assigned) distribution orders between other Jensen sites.

  • Establish and maintain accuracy of data on all purchased parts, suppliers, and purchase orders, including, but not limited to, specifications, costing, delivery dates, lead times, and lot quantities.

  • Function as the primary interface between external suppliers, internal suppliers, production, sales, and account for all purchasing, payables, and raw material inventory-related activities. Develop and maintain cooperative, positive relationships with suppliers to optimize pricing, availability, and delivery of required products.

  • Assist with maintaining inventory levels of consumable supplies and other items as identified, counts, re-stocks and organizes safety stock of these items as needed.


You’re enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment.You have 2 or more years of experience in procurement and inventory. You’ve worked with ERP systems before. Detail-oriented are the two words used best to describe you. You’re an expert at multi-tasking. You don’t take shortcuts. You’re safety conscious not just for yourself, but for your team.
