Position Summary
This position is responsible for the layout and execution of the electrical wiring, tear-down and assembly for the hydraulic cranes on class-eight heavy duty trucks.
Principle Accountabilities
Planning and execution of complete electrical system including junction boxes, and vehicle interface wiring.
Reads and interprets assembly drawings and associated hydraulic & electrical schematics.
Planning and execution of installation of hydraulic hoses, fittings, valves, and other hydraulic components.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical.
Performs work as part of a multi-functional team.
Demonstrates willingness to take directions and follow instructions.
Adheres to schedule and maintains regular attendance at worksite. Works overtime as assigned.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping (i.e.: cleaning, organizing). Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Identifies unsafe working conditions and notifies supervisor. Advises supervisor of any issues after daily inspections of the cranes are completed.
Resolves technical problems or concerns, seeking senior engineering assistance as needed.
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate has familiarity and understanding of blueprints and schematics with a proven understanding of electrical systems in the automotive industry.
Required - Experience in hydraulic or electrical assembly or repair of mobile equipment and/or industrial machinery.
Required - Proficient in utilizing tape measures and basic hand tools including, but not limited to hammers, wrenches, power tools, etc.
Required - Critical thinking skills to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical routings, and interface with teammates and supervisors to develop solutions.
Required - Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
