Position Summary
The Outside Sales Representative will develop the customer base for our newest agricultural product offering. They will be at the forefront of bringing this new product offering to the domestic agricultural market. The candidate will be responsible for working with marketing and product management to develop the strategy for how best to facilitate sales. We’re looking for a candidate with the capability to develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for this exciting new agricultural solution.
The preference for this position is that it be based in or around the Fresno, CA area, with an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.
Principle Accountabilities
Establishes account and territory sales plans to meet annual, quarterly, and monthly goals.
Ensure high post-sales satisfaction facilitating positive long-term relationships and high potential for repeat business with customers.
Maintains customer relationship documentation to support quote and sale activity growth through the Company’s CRM.
Facilitate voice of customer engagements to understand customer wants and needs for agricultural product offering.
Foster and manage relationships with channel partners to facilitate sales growth.
Utilizing knowledge of current agricultural product offering and the specifications of each, create solutions for agricultural customers.
Participate in entertainment functions with customers, trade shows, and seminars.
Qualifications
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated history in customer relationship management with an in-depth knowledge of the agricultural industry. Experience in collaboration with product management, marketing, engineering, and manufacturing teams is highly desirable. Other attributes include but are not limited to:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Agricultural Industry sales.
Depth of experience with crops produced using trellis systems preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Email, Spreadsheet, Word Processor).
Strong verbal and written communication.
Ability and willingness to travel to Europe for product and industry training.
Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Industry (i.e., Agronomy, Horticulture, Viticulture, Agricultural Engineering, etc.) from an accredited university.
